冒頭の動画はForeign Affairsの表紙作成の裏話でした。典型的なイメージをロボットでアレンジしたものを表紙にするコンセプトで最終的に選ばれたのがハムレットの墓掘りの場面でした。やっぱりハムレットは「自分とは何か」と内省するイメージがあるのでしょうか。メルギブソンとケネスブレナーのものがすぐに見つかりましたが、演じ方もずいぶん違いますね。

ああ、可哀そうなヨリック、ホレイシオ、おれはよく知っているんだ。素晴らしく奇抜な冗談ばかり言っていた。いつもおれを背中におぶってくれた、それが今この姿、想像するだにおぞましい。吐き気がする。ここに唇があって、おれは数え切れなくくらいキスをした。おまえのあざ笑いはどこへ行った、おまえの跳ね回る姿、いつも食卓を爆笑させたあの陽気な冗談はどうした、にやりと笑ったおまえのこのどくろの出っ歯をあざ笑うものはないのか。あごがすっかり落ちて。どこかのご婦人の部屋へ行け、そしてこの顔に一インチも厚化粧をしてもらえ、それで婦人を笑わせたらどうだ。どうか、ホレイシオ、一つ教えてくれ。



ええ、Yutaはハムレットが念頭にあるとは夢にも思っていませんでした。。。
