先ほどの2008年のヒラリーさんのスピーチを見返してみると新形式TOEICを勉強中の学習者にピンとくる表現が登場していました。

in America you always keep going.
We are Americans. We're not big on quitting.
（アメリカではいつだって前に進んできた。
われわれはアメリカ人。途中でやめることは好きではないのです）

次に続く表現もネイティブにはすっと入ってくるのでしょうが、keep going とget goingなんかが並ぶ表現を苦手とする英語学習者も多そうです。

But remember, before we can keep going, we have to get going by electing Barack Obama president.
（忘れてはならないのは、われわれが進み続けるにはその前にバラクオバマを大統領に選ぶことから始めないといけないことです）

短期間でTOEICスコアを上げるにはTOEIC教材に絞って学習するのがいいんでしょうけど、TOEICだって英語の一部ですから幅広く勉強してしまってもいいんですよね。

We are Americans. We're not big on quitting.
