TOEICkerは「脱退派」？

外からみると英国の国民投票での「脱退派」の決断を拙速なものとみなしがちですが、外野は理想論、「べき論」を押し付けがちです。単にバカにするだけで終わりにするだけでなく脱退派が感じている不安を理解する態度も必要かもしれません。

TOEICkerの例えを使えば「TOEICだけでいいだもん！世の中のことなんて興味ないもん！」という学習者は、英語学習の「べき論」から見れば偏狭な態度にしか思えません。（まあ別にTOEICを受験英語でもいいんですが。。。）でもTOEIC学習界隈ではそういう態度は異端ではないですし、大きな力を持っていますよねえ。じゃあTOEICkerは偏狭で自分さえ逃げ切ればよいという態度の人たちばかりなのかというとそんなことはないのは明白で、いろいろな思いを抱えてTOEICを真摯に取り組んでいる人が大半です。

外から見ているだけでは、後付けで正論をはくだけでは見えてこない部分があるに違いありません。米国アマゾンを見ていたら以下のFinancial Timesの記事をまとめたものがありました。2014年に発売されたものですが、すでに脱退の話が出ていたのですね。無料ということもありKindleでポチったのでこれから読んでみたいと思います。
