文脈で意味が変わる

長いしな〜と敬遠していたブレードランナー新作。ようやく見に行ってきました。内容は面白かったですが、未来のイメージが古い感じがしてしまうのは３０年の年月なんでしょうか。前作の世界観を壊さないようにしたのはわかりますが。。。

少し気になったのは予告編でのセリフ。LETOが扮するレプリカント製造メーカー社長の言葉が予告編によって意味が変わってしまていませんか？

Humanity cannot survive. Replicants are the future of the species but I can only make so many.

Every civilization was built off the back of a disposable work force. But I can only make so many.

Every leap of civilization was built off the backs of slaves. Replicants are the future, but I can only make so many. I have the lock, and he has the key.

予告編1の場合はレプリカントが人間にとって変わるみたいな意味合いですが、予告編2と3だとdisposable workersの未来形がレプリカントのように思えます。

映画本編ではslavesは使われずにdisposable work forceだったように思えます。さすがに言葉がどきついからでしょうか。
