“get on top of 〜” の意味とは？

たまたま日本関連ということで5月のニュースを見ていたらget on top ofという表現が使われていました。

使われる言葉にしてもlockdownやsocial distancingなどの目新しい語義だけではなくても、コロナ禍の英語では普通の語だとしてもコーパスの順位に影響が出そうです。その扱いの方法について議論がいろいろされるのではないでしょうか。
