テンプレを考える - ビフォーアフター

EUい委員会の委員長フォン・デア・ライエンのスピーチは3分以内にスッキリまとまっていました。実際のスピーチは公式サイトにアップされている予定原稿よりも充実したものでしたので、今回はその比較をしてみます。最後に追加されている部分を明示した原稿をアップしています。

欧州はグリーンエネルギーを主導していますが、プレゼンが上手ですね。日本も文句を言うだけではなくこのようなプレゼンを少しは学ぶ必要があるのではないでしょうか。

冒頭は何気ない部分ですが、女性の議長なのでMadam Presidentとしています。岸田首相はジョンソン英首相が議長でもないにもかかわらずお礼を述べていましたので、もっとその場に合わせてもいいかと思います。

（予定稿）Dear President, fellow leaders,

（本番）Madam President, fellow leaders

次の部分は、本番では追加の説明が増えています。持ち時間が3分ですので、追加説明を増やしたのでしょうか。この辺りは、まずは骨子を決めてから、肉付けするというセオリーが当てはまります。

（予定稿）I know all of us in this room want to be on the right side of history.

This is why I call on all of us to do what is necessary for keeping the limit of 1,5° C warming within reach.

This is our opportunity to write history.

（本番）I know that all of us here at COP26 want to be on the right side of history. 

This is why I call on all of us to do whatever it takes now to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. 

And we can do it because climate change is man-made, science tells us, so we can do something about it. 

It is our opportunity to write history. 

次も追加説明のところですが、最初は3つのポイントだったところが、4つのポイントになっています。

（予定稿）But at this COP, we all must speed up our race to net zero. 

（本番）But at this COP, we all must speed up our race to net zero. We are running out of time. And therefore, I have four points in one minute.

こちらが4点目のポイントですが、まあ確かに必須ではない感じはします。時間があるのを見て付け加えたのでしょうか。

（本番）And fourth and finally, innovation and technology is available. Now we have to scale up and deploy it.

短くてもしっかり伝えたいところを伝える、そんな態度をこのスピーチから学べると思います。
