ちょっと今更かもしれませんが、大谷選手がアメリカでunicornと呼ばれることがあるようですね。

「彼は『ユニコーン』でスーパーヒーロー、漫画のキャラクターです。彼がやっていることは、（現実には）起こりえないことなんです。彼ができることを実現するためには6人の選手と契約しなければいけません」
実況が使った英語は「Unicorn（ユニコーン）」という言葉だ。神話に登場する一角獣で実在しない生き物だが、そこから転じて人々が夢見るような現実離れした存在、滅多に目にすることのできない人物を意味する。
英和辞書ではここまで書いてくれておらず単に「一角獣」とあるだけですが、ネイティブ向け辞書では語義が立っていました。もう一つの意味「ユニコーン企業」の方は日本語にもなっています。
